With 850 exhibitors and 50,136 trade visitors, XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007, the 7th China Xiamen International Stone Fair, held in Xiamen, China, on March 8-11, 2007 impressed with its high level of growing in the amount of the exhibit floor, exhibitors and overseas trade visitors. Through four days meeting, contact and trade, XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 won a significant success.
XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 showcased the latest product introductions, innovations, technological advances, design solutions and service in the 60,000 m2 ground. It welcomed 850 exhibitors from 27 domestic provinces and 20 oversea countries, including Italy, Turkey, Australia, Spain, USA, Iran, Sweden, Jordan, India, Switzerland, Brazil, Japan, Egypt, Norway, Israel, Palestine, Pakistan, Finland, Portugal and Vietnam.
XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 experienced substantial increases of attendees from past years: 50136 manufacturer, quarry owners, contractors, architects, designers, builders, distributors, kitchen specialists and retailers from across the country and all over the world attended XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 – which is an 18% increase in attendance over 2006! Oversea attendees reached 8,000, represented 85 countries, with an increase of 45% over last year. Attendees from European and North American exceeded who were from Japan and Korea up by 36%. Attendees from USA, Russia and Southeast-Asia boomed in this edition, spotlighted a new concern from these Markets.

XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 not only provided a place made new contacts, built new sales quotas but also a phenomenal occasion for stone professionals to meet face to face, communicate and exchange experience. The overwhelmingly positive response from both exhibitors and attendees proved XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 was a triumph for the stone industries. 95% exhibitors showed that they were already looking forward to their return next year and asked for bigger space for promoting their products.
XIAMEN STONE FAIR 2007 also hosted highly successful conference programs – “Forum of China Stone Industry 2007”, “Summit Dialogue of China-Japan Stone Industry 2007” etc. offered a variety of options to meet the need of attendees. Xiamen Stone Fair 2008 will be held on March 6- 9, 2008 in Xiamen, China, which is expected to have 1000 exhibitors. The exhibit floor will expand to 70, 000 square meters.
One of the important reasons that Xiamen Stone Fair keeps growing rapid is the role of Xiamen City in the world stone industry. Xiamen confirms its role in the Chinese Stone trading Market again in the year 2006. The amount of import and export of stone through the port of Xiamen is USD2, 300 million. This accounts for over 60% of the total volume of stone trade in China. The export volume of natural stone reached 5.85 million tons, amounted to 1.67 billion with an increase of 32% over 2005. The import volume went up to 3.42 million tons with the amount of 630 million with an increase of 34% over 2006.
